The Plot

“The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes” is the third book of the crime investigating series featuring the world’s most famous detective Sherlock Holmes and his loyal companion Dr. Watson. Unlike the preceding books which are written as novels, “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes” is a collection of 12 brilliant detective stories. The events take place shortly after “The Sign of Four”. Now Dr. Watson is happily married and has given up on the wild investigations to enjoy a peaceful and quiet family life. One day however he ends up walking down the Baker Street and decides to pay a visit to his old friend. Apparently Holmes was already expecting somebody else – a very particular client, with a case that Dr. Watson will find hard to stay away from.
